What this test is
The test measures lead in blood. Lead accumulates in bone and disrupts blood cell production, causing anaemia, abdominal pain, fatigue and neurological effects, especially in children whose brains are developing.

Blood lead is the standard measure of lead exposure, found in battery work, painting, welding and demolition, and metal recycling.
