Workers on scaffolding, building structures, masts or elevated areas from 2 metres up
Roof maintenance, installation, high-voltage electrical work and equipment climbing
New employees and workers due for periodic occupational health checks

What is checked

History of conditions that risk fainting or dizziness, such as heart disease, epilepsy or poorly controlled diabetes
Physical examination with blood pressure and pulse by a doctor
Electrocardiogram (EKG) when the doctor considers it appropriate
Chest X-ray, plus vision and colour discrimination testing
Hearing testing where noisy areas are also part of the job
A summary with observations the employer can use for safety measures

Preparation and documents

Fast for 8-10 hours if blood tests are included
