Who this service is for

Candidates who must submit a health check before their start date

What is checked

History taking and physical examination by a doctor, assessed against the job type
Complete blood count (CBC) and blood sugar
Urine analysis to screen for infection and kidney problems
Urine drug screening when the employer requires it
Chest X-ray to screen for tuberculosis
Additional items required by the company, such as liver function, hepatitis B, vision, hearing or lung function

Preparation and documents

Fast for at least 8 hours if blood sugar or lipid tests are included; plain water is fine
Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours and get a full night's sleep
Bring your ID card and any company forms or test orders to registration
